Lot includes two vintage ca. 1930's Campbell Soup Co. original illustration art paintings used for the making of Co. advertisements, both featuring the adorable Campbell Soup Kids (note: these characters were originally created by illustrator Grace Drayton for the Co. in 1904). Smaller piece features a wonderful hand-painted illustration kid holding pencil and paper w/ Art. Dept. written notes in outer border areas as well as attached instruction sheet stating it was created for the 4/29/33 Post (probably Saturday Evening Post, as they were a frequent advertiser there). Image is clean, bright, excellent and ready for framing and matting. The second piece is a wonderful hand painted illustration for use in making a 1936 trolley card ad (has dated Forbes Litho art dept. label on backside). This is clean, bright and like new (near mint). Pieces are not artist signed.
