Large, very early, heavy, high quality figural embossed cast iron advertising countertop display for Shell Oil Co. w/ slots made for holding and displaying Co.'s motor oil advertising specimen bottles. Excellent and all original, w/ a nice, rich surface patina (a strong C. 8/+). Note: for informational purposes, we have added a photo showing this piece holding two of Co.'s small cylinder sample bottles (lot does not include the pictured bottles).
