Nice, early, high quality, heavy enameled porcelain store display w/ attractive deep blue on white lettered advertising for "Sealshipt" brand oysters. Has round, lift-up viewing window at top, complete w/ separate original wheeled metal stand. Outside is clean, bright and excellent (a strong C. 8.5++), w/ a little minor light early chipping wear at top inside edge. Note: thick round glass cover and one of its connecting bolts and nuts has been expertly replaced. For informational purposes we have added a copy of an old ad from a 1910 newspaper that promoted these Sealship Co. in store store display coolers. Freight item.
