Very early small top style store tin for A. C. McCardell Co.'s (Frederick, MD) "Mountain City" brand cough drops, w/ beautifully detailed graphics by Somers Bros. lithographers (same image both sides). Has stable surface and is clean and very attractive in appearance (a strong C. 8/+ overall), w/ minor background wear.
